About Brentwood, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
The modern town of Brentwood began life as Maddenville, named for businessman and local entrepreneur Thomas Madden. For a period of time beginning in the 1870s, he ran the tavern, the rock quarry, the barbershop, the grocery store, and the blacksmith shop. When the residents of Maddenville discovered, in 1919, that their town was about to be annexed by neighboring Maplewood, they preemptively incorporated as a village and changed the name to Brentwood. It was during this period that Brentwood earned a colorful reputation as a host to casinos and other less than legal enterprises.
Cleaned up by its first mayor, James Willingham, in fulfillment of a campaign promise, Brentwood put its lascivious past behind it and embraced a future as a fit and attractive place for families. Today, the town maintains eight public parks with a variety of venues to suit all interests, as well as the Brentwood Ice Arena, which offers skating throughout the year. Brentwood residents enjoy a climate with mean temps varying throughout the year between 20 and 90 degrees.
