An affluent suburb of St. Louis, the city of Town and Country prides itself on offering a rural lifestyle of single–family dwellings on large, landscaped lots while still within an easy drive of the nearby metropolis. Country charm is evident everywhere in town, with white fences and grazing horses in evidence throughout. Several large tracts of land remain undeveloped, aiding the city planners in retaining the idyllic surroundings for which Town and Country is justly known.
Green and peaceful, there are few areas of commercial development. Originally incorporated as a village in 1950, the city now has a population of over 11,000. Town and Country has a well established system of public parks, anchored by the historic Longview Farm Park. This beautiful location was the subject of a recent renovation and is available for both tours and rental for meetings and events. The town enjoys a relatively moderate climate with year-round temperatures between 20 and 90.
